SAPAC Ally/Volunteer Training Application

The ally training will explore issues of sexual violence, rape culture, supporting survivors, and healthy relationships. Ally training is a great first step in receiving basic training regarding these issues and becoming a supporter of the movement. The full 30-hour volunteer training is an advanced training that will provide more in-depth information on issues related to sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual harassment. This training is a requirement if you are interested in volunteering with the Men’s Activism Program; the Networking, Publicity, and Activism Program; or the Peer Education Program.
I have never been arrested for or convicted of a felony, assault, domestic violence, criminal sexual conduct or sexual harassment; or found responsible for any university violations related to sexual assault, intimate partner violence, sexual harassment or stalking. In addition, I am not currently under investigation or on probation for such offenses, either by a law enforcement agency, the University of Michigan, or any other educational institution. I hereby give my permission to the University of Michigan Department of Public Safety and Security to conduct a security check on me. SAPAC reserves the right to reject my application for any reason. I understand that the information will only be used for the purpose of evaluating my eligibility to be a volunteer for SAPAC. SAPAC cannot be used as a method to fulfill court ordered or university mandated community service.
