LGBTQ+ Outreach and Support Coordinator

The LGBTQ+ Outreach and Support Coordinator will work closely with a SAPAC Case Manager and Advocate to facilitate a monthly LGBTQ+ Peer Led Support Group and coordinate with LGBTQ+ Student organizations to facilitate a minimum of one collaborative program a month with SAPAC. This position is open to any University of Michigan students!

SAPAC Multimedia Coordinator

The purpose of the Multimedia Coordinator is to assist SAPAC professional and student staff  in information development, presentation, and dissemination. The Multimedia Coordinator will create content to share with the U of M community, including, but not limited to: graphics and logos, online and printed resources, and social media materials. This position will provide real-world experience in project management and graphic design as well as expanding connection to and understanding of SAPAC office/prof staff.

General Peer-Led Support Group Facilitator

SAPAC's General Peer-Led Support Group is a twice-a-week, drop-in, confidential healing space for UM students who identify as survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, sexual harassment, or stalking. The group aims to empower survivors and facilitate resilience, reconnection, stress relief, and anxiety reduction for our participants. Facilitators are expected to lead the group through semi-structured discussions, self-care activities, creative arts, interpersonal processing, and create a safe space for sharing if participants choose to do so.

The PLSG facilitator position is a unique role within the SAPAC community that allows students to contribute in an amazing way to SAPAC’s survivor support programming. This is a paid position requiring 7-10 hours per week, with a one academic year minimum commitment. We are currently anticipating hiring 1-2 facilitators for General PLSG.

Peer Led Support Group for People of Color (POC PLSG) Co-Facilitator

POC PLSG is a drop-in, confidential healing space for survivors of sexual violence who identify as people of color. POC PLSG co-facilitators facilitate the weekly support group meeting, and meet regularly with their staff supervisor, Aysha Abiade, as well as each other to debrief the previous meeting and to plan for the next. Meetings often entail group conversation as well as self care and stress relief activities.

SAPAC Co-Coordinator

SAPAC Co-Coordinators work alongside each other and with the Program Manager for Student Engagement to support the development, growth and overall leadership of SAPAC’s Prevention Education Volunteer Programs CORE, BICE, and SEAS while supporting the overall mission and values of SAPAC as a whole. As a SAPAC Co-Coordinator you would be responsible for the facilitation, management and logistical requirements of your program as well as engaging in year long professional and leadership development as a cohort.
