Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center

Telling the Untold Truth flyer, with information about when and where the event is

Join the Networking, Publicity, and Activism group on Wednesday, January 28th in Conference Room 4 of the League from 7-9 pm to have a conversation about the misconceptions involving human trafficking. The Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center (SAPAC) and FreeHearts have come together to invite Jane White, Director of the State of Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force to speak to the students at the University of Michigan about the myths that populate common discourse.

Telling the Untold Truth (TUT) is a dialogue series put on by SAPAC in collaboration with various groups around campus. TUT strives to begin a campus conversation surrounding narratives of sexualized violence that are typically left out of common discourse. This space is to voice and affirm experiences while building a more nuanced picture of the issues at hand. We hope to build a stronger, safer community by connecting students with SAPAC resources and forming inter-group partnerships.

This event is the 1st of 3 within TUT this year:

1) FreeHearts - January 28th, 2015 - Michigan League, Room 4

2) Society of Women Engineers (SWE) - February 18th, 2015 - Michigan League, Room D
