Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center

What can I expect when I contact SAPAC for services?

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center (SAPAC) provides free and confidential crisis intervention, advocacy, and support for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking and sexual harassment who are University of Michigan students, faculty and staff.

Raise the Bar

Raise The Bar (RTB) is a new program designed and implemented by the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center (SAPAC) at the University of Michigan, The University Health Service (UHS), and The Ann Arbor Community Coalition (A2C3.) The mission of Raise The Bar is to decrease the incidences of sexual and gender-based violence among University students within the Ann Arbor community. The program works with local bars and transportation services to provide tailored workshops on the subject of sexual assault and bystander intervention.

Activating Our Campus: A Collective of Anti-Violence Student Activists

On April 2nd, 2016, SAPAC student volunteers organized Activating our Campus, the first conference of its kind that united student members of the anti-violence movement across the state of Michigan and built upon participants' strengths through shared knowledge. In bringing our programs and members together, we deepened the passion that draws us to, and motivates us in, our activism. With 14 colleges and universities from across the state of Michigan, this unprecedented gathering allowed us to discuss issues of sexual health, empowerment, and sexual assault awareness.
