SAPAC Affirms Commitment to Community

SAPAC has been providing care and addressing sexual violence on UM's campus for over 30 years. We are committed to addressing sexual violence through prevention education and healing. It remains our goal to educate the University of Michigan community about sexual assault, intimate partner violence, sexual harassment, gender based violence and stalking in order to raise awareness and promote a nonviolent campus community from a primary prevention approach. We promote equality and respect for all members of our community. We offer space for all survivors in our community including, students, faculty and staff. SAPAC recognizes that survivors are experts in their own lives. We strive to create a supportive and safe environment, empowering survivors with the knowledge to make their own decisions. (September 7, 2017)

SafeHouse Center's LGBTQIA+ Support Group

SafeHouse Center welcomes LGBTQIA+ survivors of all gender identities who have experienced or are experiencing intimate partner violence and/or sexual abuse to our new support group coming Spring 2017.

SafeHouse seeks to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space where survivors can find support and healing from abuse.

1. Let others come out on their own terms
2. Use correct pronouns and inclusive language
3. Hold yourself and others accountable
4. Practice visible support

Get Involved! Ally Training

The next Ally Training will take place in the Winter 2019 semester.

The SAPAC Ally Training Program seeks to empower participants with the knowledge, awareness, and skills needed to be actively involved in the movement to end sexual and intimate partner violence.  The SAPAC Ally Training Program is a great first step in receiving basic training regarding these issues and becoming a supporter of the movement.

The deadline has passed to apply to attend our Winter 2019 Ally Training is March 18th.
