IPVAM: Trauma-Informed Virtual Yoga Online Event

Join SAPAC SEAS for a trauma-informed level 1 vinyasa class. Registration online at the provided is required before class starts.Admission is $12, and half of all proceeds will be donated to SafeHouse Center.

Open to all U of M students.

Virtual Reading with Lexie Bean

Join SAPAC SEAS for a virtual reading from author Lexie Bean, member of the RAINN National Leadership Council, editor of Lambda Literary nominated Written on the Body, and author of The Ship We Built, which centers on themes of “loneliness, faith, gender, addiction, incarceration, and imagination.”

This reading discusses sexual abuse from the lens of a young transgender boy and is based off of Lexie’s own experiences. This event will include a reading from The Ship We Built followed by a Q&A segment.

IPVAM 2020 #NoMore

Intimate partner violence (IPV), sometimes referred to as dating or domestic violence, is defined as physical, sexual, and/or emotional violence and psychological harm perpetrated by a current or former partner. October is Intimate Partner Violence Awareness Month; raising awareness this year is more important than ever, as rates of IPV have increased dramatically in the wake of Covid-19 restrictions.

Call for Submissions: rEV: Transformation!

SAPAC's Survivor Empowerment & Ally Support (SEAS) Program is now accepting submissions for its 16th annual art show, rEVOLUTION: Transformation!

We are calling on all UM-affiliated artists (student, faculty, & staff) to email us digital submissions to be displayed on our multi-media online resource in the coming weeks. Art of any medium is welcome, including, but not limited to: painting, dancing, drawing, photography, sculpture, spoken word, and poetry. The deadline to submit is March 17th.

Live Healthy Relationships Workshop

SAPAC’s Consent, Outreach, and Relationship Education Program (CORE) invites you to participate in a live healthy relationships workshop!

Come practice healthy communication strategies for all relationship types and revisit favorite memories. This event is intended for University of Michigan students.

Please join SAPAC's Survivor Empowerment and Ally support program for the opening night of the 16th annual art show rEVOLUTION: Transformation on Thursday, April 1st from 7-8:30 pm via Zoom. The event will include featured artists as well as a discussion of the project and a detailed description of how to navigate the virtual website.

Sexual Citizens Authors Q&A

Engage with SAPAC's CORE (Consent, Outreach, and Relationship Education) Program in a Q&A with Dr. Jennifer S. Hirsch and Dr. Shamus Khan, the authors of Sexual Citizens, a book that discusses the social dynamics contributing to sexual assault on college campus through an intensive study conducted at Columbia University.
